• Featuring artwork and textiles by Portland, Oregon native Rio Wrenn

Gallery @ the Jupiter Hotel is proud to present “To The Core" from November 20, 2014 to January 20, 2015. The First Friday Eastside art walk artist opening reception is on Friday, December 5th, from 6 to 8 p.m.

“To The Core” takes artist Rio Wrenn’s knowledge of science and uses visuals such as tree rings, microscopic views of plant parts, cell division, parasitic growths, and the metaphorical core of human nature to contemplate similarities in humanity. Beautiful silk panels show the evidence of rusted metals and dyes creating an ethereal yet grounded work.

RECEPTION : Complimentary beverages will be poured by guest artisan, New Deal Distillery, who distills all their spirits in small batches.

Light appetizers will be provided by Merry Meat Pie Company. Using fresh, local ingredients and only humanely raised free range and grass fed meats, Merry Meat Pie believes an artisan in any industry strives to learn more about their craft and where their food comes from, while always trying to achieve a better product and more flavor.

Gallery @ the Jupiter is open to the public 24/7, 365 days a year.
